Honeyscapes

Our bee gardens—-”Honeyscapes”—-use permaculture design to establish habitat for honey bees and other pollinators, and provide bounty for humans too. We’re excited to be working in partnership with Jacqueline Cramer (Design Collaborators), Jake Harris (Stone Soup Gardens), and Jenny Pell (Permaculture Now) to make this endeavor possible.

Responsible beekeeping means providing forage for the bees, as well as opportunities for other pollinators to thrive. Your relationship with the land where you live is similarly dynamic: how can you enrich your soil? Optimize the use of water that falls on your site? Support food production? Minimize waste? Participate in a long-lasting, bountiful ecosystem?

The Honeyscapes team will do a site visit, design your garden, build it, plant it, and install and manage the bees too. Imagine your yard as a self-supporting ecosystem, with soil-enriching plants, pollinator-friendly flowers, and bees working in season—everything built to the highest standards of landscape design and agricultural practice.

The gardens are designed according to the ethics and principles of permaculture, which prioritizes care for the earth, care for the people on it, and distribution of resources. Our team includes experts in the field of permaculture and landscape design.

Prices start at $500. Our offerings include the Intro package, the Design Intensive package, and specialty jobs for schools, businesses, parks, and farms.
