Site visit and consultation
2-1/2 hours by members our team
- Team includes Permaculturists, Landscape Designers and Installers, and certified Journeyman Beekeeper
- Prior to site visit, client will be asked to complete a simple questionnaire and additional site information
- Questionnaire will be sent to client prior to site visit
- Please be sure to have to-scale maps available for the design team. If you don’t have to-scale maps, we will provide instructions for how to access it (see questionnaire)
- Assessment includes site’s current state and potential viability, using permaculture design principles and professional landscape design, addressing numerous areas including:
- flow, patterns, and synergy
- aspect (slope and sun exposure)
- soil systems
- water
- plant health
- yields and productivity
- neighborhood bee forage
- pollinator viability (bee forage and hive locations)
- people-centered activities (sitting spaces, gardening beds, trellises, pathways, compost bins, water collection)

Installation
- A first phase installation worth $1500 is included. Specs will be tailored to fit your needs.
- Phase One installation will include the following:

- If you would like more design and installation options and services, we can do it! Some examples are:

- bee activity areas (raised rockery, fenced viewing corral, water feature)

Hive Hosting and Honey CSA membership
- 1 to 4 colonies of honey bees or mason bees installed and managed* for one year, depending on site capability. This requires a signed hive-hosting agreement.
- One year Honey CSA Membership**, which includes delivery of one pound of honey each month, by bicycle.
* Hive management is limited to households within Seattle city limits. If you are outside of our service area, we can still install the hives and will try to refer you to a nearby beekeeper to manage them, or you can manage them yourself.
** CSA delivery is limited to households within Seattle city limits. We can discuss alternate delivery options.
Education
- One free admission to a permaculture, chicken-rearing, or bee class offered in Seattle
- Ongoing honeybee education
- Access and information from beekeeper during routine site visits
