Beekeepers wanted!
Our Urban Beekeeper Network matches select local beekeepers with people in their neighborhood who want bees. Beekeepers need to follow Certified Naturally Grown standards. Hosts uphold our “best practices” plan developed over the past three years.
Keeping hives in neighborhood clusters helps connect folks across fences and property lines. A neighborhood beekeeper can spend more time with the bees and keep them healthy. Contact us to inquire.
What we do:
- Solicit and site-visit potential locations
- Make a contract with hosts
- Provide insurance coverage for you on the site
- Promote you as a member of the Urban Beekeeper Network
What you do:
- Tend the bees
- Keep all the honey, except for two pounds per hive
What it costs you:
- Nothing!
- A sweeter deal: Urban Bee Co. will purchase honey wholesale from you, at a good rate. You don’t even need to bottle it.
